Keto Friendly Philly Cheese Steak Stuffed Peppers
Ingredients:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place a pot of water on the stove to boil. Place 2 tbs of olive oil in frying pan and heat. Add onions and sautee till translucent. Add sandwich round, cut into strips. Season with sea salt, pepper, and steak seasoning. Add tablespoon worcestershire sauce. Cook on medium-low heat. Add in mushrooms. Do not over cook meat. When water boils add the halved peppers to it to blanche. Have a bowl of cold water available to dunk the peppers in to stop the cooking process. You want the peppers to be cooked but not mush. (They will be only going in the oven long enough to melt the cheese so the peppers need to be sufficiently cooked in the water.)
Place the blanched pepper halves on the cookie tray hollow side up. Scoop the steak mixture into the halves. Cover with one slice of provolone each. Place in the oven for 5 minutes or until cheese is melted and slight brown on top.
